Yoga is not one-size-fits-all. Every body moves differently, every breath carries a story, and every practice unfolds in its own way. Private yoga offers a space to explore movement, breath, and stillness in a way that meets you exactly where you are—physically, mentally, and energetically.
Unlike group classes, private sessions create a dedicated space where the focus is entirely on your practice. No crowded studios, no external noise—just you, your breath, and the guidance needed to fully immerse yourself in the moment. This distraction-free setting allows for a deeper connection with your body and mind, making each movement and breath more intentional.
Yoga is not just about flexibility; it’s about moving with intelligence and balance. Private sessions provide real-time adjustments, detailed alignment cues, and modifications tailored to your unique anatomy. Whether you’re working on posture refinement, building strength, or preventing injury, one-on-one guidance helps you cultivate a more mindful and sustainable practice.
Every practitioner’s journey is different. In a private setting, sequences are designed specifically for your body, experience level, and goals—whether that means gaining strength, deepening flexibility, mastering advanced postures, or simply moving with greater ease. Without the pressure of keeping up with a group, you have the freedom to progress at your own pace and explore your practice with confidence.
If you’re recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, or working through physical imbalances, private yoga provides a safe and effective way to rebuild strength, improve mobility, and support healing. Therapeutic movements are chosen based on your unique needs, helping you move with care while avoiding strain or re-injury.
Beyond physical movement, yoga is a gateway to deeper self-awareness. Private sessions can incorporate pranayama (breath control) and meditation techniques to help regulate emotions, quiet the mind, and cultivate a greater sense of inner stillness. Whether you’re looking to improve focus, manage anxiety, or explore the more subtle aspects of yoga, one-on-one guidance makes it accessible and deeply personal.
Movement and breath have a profound effect on energy levels. A well-structured yoga practice improves circulation, oxygenates the body, and stimulates the flow of prana—your life force energy. Whether you need an invigorating sequence to awaken the body or a grounding practice to restore balance, private sessions allow you to align your practice with your energy needs.

Through yoga practice I am able to observe my true self and aspire to my Higher Self. I practice to keep my mind and body healthy, so I can take yoga practice off the mat and into my life. I teach yoga to share the wonderful benefits it has given me.
Born on the Russian-Chinese border and raised in Siberia, I spent much of my life living in different places, including Germany, Estonia, Thailand, Malaysia, Bali, California, Philadelphia and New York. Continuously finding myself in a new place, yoga became the only constant in my life. After 15+ years of various styles of yoga and a 200-Hour Hatha training in Thailand, I was led to my first Ashtanga teacher, Ade Adinata, in Bali, Indonesia, and instantly felt at home. Since then, I spent time studying Ashtanga Yoga with Kino McGregor and Tim Feldman and have completed a 500-Hour training under Guru Sri Dharma Mitra, which led me to opening up Sound of Om to become a place of spiritual and physical practice for the local yogi community.
I currently teach Ashtanga and Dharma Yoga at Sound of Om (NJ).
