Through yoga practice I am able to observe my true self and aspire to my Higher Self. I practice to keep my mind and body healthy, so I can take yoga practice off the mat and into my life. I teach yoga to share the wonderful benefits it has given me.
Born on the Russian-Chinese border and raised in Siberia, I spent much of my life living in different places, including Germany, Estonia, Thailand, Malaysia, Bali, California, Philadelphia and New York. Continuously finding myself in a new place, yoga became the only constant in my life. After 15+ years of various styles of yoga and a 200-Hour Hatha training in Thailand, I was led to my first Ashtanga teacher, Ade Adinata, in Bali, Indonesia, and instantly felt at home. Since then, I spent time studying Ashtanga Yoga with Kino McGregor and Tim Feldman and have completed a 500-Hour training under Guru Sri Dharma Mitra, which led me to opening up Sound of Om to become a place of spiritual and physical practice for the local yogi community.
I currently teach Ashtanga and Dharma Yoga at Sound of Om (NJ).
